Cedar Rapids Community School District, or CSCSD as we commonly refer to ourselves, has a rich history of educating students since 1855. Today, we are Iowa’s second-largest public school district, with more than 16,000 students and nearly 3,200 employees. We have 5 high schools, 6 middle schools, 21 elementary schools, and 1 preschool located across Cedar Rapids and Hiawatha. Within that, there are 6 themed magnet schools and 2 alternative schools that offer several special programs and options. CRCSD is also proud to have the most nationally-certified teachers in the state of Iowa. Our guiding principles help us enrich our community and embrace all backgrounds and cultures. We share a learning environment that welcomes everyone as we prepare all students for their future.
