It’s been 22 years since Cedar Rapids Community School District has done a GO bond ask to our community. The last GO Bond CRCSD asked for was in 2000 for $46 million to build Viola Gibson Elementary and make some renovations. This GO Bond has been paid for, and currently, CRCSD has NO GO Bond debt.

On the other hand, our neighboring districts have made several bond asks since 2000, with the community supporting over $486 Million. Now it is our students’ turn to get community support.
